THE DAYTON ARCADE VISION
I am in the process of planning a move of our nonprofit CITVN Coop office and our intentional faith-based community home to the historic Dayton Arcade renovation in downtown Dayton. We are making a significant investment upgrading our production equipment to mobile wifi enabled 4K broadcast quality systems to support the communication needs of the Dayton Arcade ecosystem.
The historic Arcade redevelopment is designed to attract artists, entrepreneurs, educators and students. Anchor tenants include the Entrepreneurs Center, University of Dayton Crotty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership, Contemporary Arts Center, and offices for Parallax Advanced Research (formerly Wright State Research Institute), venture capital firms, consultants, advertising agencies, startup businesses, low rent studios for artists, co-share offices for seed-stage businesses and a kitchen incubator for hopeful restaurateurs who may be students in Sinclair Community College’s world-class culinary arts degree program. If we are to sustainably transition CITVN Coop, we need to be in proximity to and interacting with the next generation of creative educators, artists and entrepreneurs.
What the Dayton Arcade does not have is a 4K documentary and streaming media video production company to promote the ecosystem.
All Volunteer Services
The Arcade Rotunda and Entrepreneurship Center Shark Tank present opportunities to produce broadcast quality 4K documentary and live stream events for weddings, concerts, nonprofit gala live auctions, keynote speaker luncheons and corporate communications for dissemination strategies, training and sales enablement. We hope CITVN COOP efforts will contribute to promoting the Dayton Arcade facility.
We are planning to produce for free the CITVN FORUM keynote speaker series live from the HUB Shark Tank, hope to live stream the world-class UD Business Plan Competition, feature Entrepreneurs' Center documentaries and voluntarily produce arts documentaries that promote the artwork of the Contemporary Arts Center membership.
The Entrepreneurs' Center is dedicated to supporting Miami Valley entrepreneurs in seed-stage business development. We hope to voluntarily document these amazing stories to encourage and promote establishment of the next generation of sustainable local community businesses.
The University of Dayton supports new ventures through its Flyer Pitch Competition, which is among the largest business plan contests at the collegiate level with more than $100,000 in cash prizes and $100,000 of in-kind support awarded. Its legacy includes more than 70 new ventures that have been launched as a result of the competition with over $24 million in follow-on capital raised by those businesses. This annual competition will be held in the Dayton Arcade Entrepreneurship Center Shark Tank. CITVN Coop can help strategically promote and live stream globally the competition to social media pages frequently viewed by universities that sponsor business plan competitions, venture capitalists and entrepreneurs across the nation, add interactive b-roll video to promote the Crotty Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence, and pipe in remote entrepreneurs or famous alumni to interact live with the audience in brilliant choreographed cinematic 4K broadcast quality.
The Contemporary Arts membership includes 300 local and regional artists–from those who have exhibited all over the world to those fresh out of art school. We believe this is probably fertile ground for production of 4K documentary video projects.
The Dayton Catholic Worker Movement will utilize HUB conference space to work with clients, produce annually on our nickel six live stream events and documentaries, mentor each year a seed-stage business startup for a poor disabled or disenfranchised person and open a new level-1 peer-supported Oxford House sober community of men and women in recovery from addictions. Our voluntary efforts are designed to facilitate development of collaborative communities and attract people to the Dayton Arcade.
CITVN Coop will produce one very well-orchestrated production each month costing us $2,175
PROMOTION
As long as you can bootstrap, not at the sacrifice of competitive advantage, bootstrapping is a really powerful thing because it allows you to be totally devoted to your vision. CITVN COOP will dedicate our 4K live stream production studio, call center and a $120,000 annual Google AdWords grant to promoting events at the Dayton Arcade that would benefit from well choreographed cinematic live stream distribution.
ANNUAL GALA LIVE AUCTION
For example, let's consider the needs of local charities and schools that might wish to hold their Annual gala fundraiser event at the Dayton Arcade Rotunda. Venues have restricted seating due to COVID, so the Dayton Arcade Rotunda might make sense due to a higher COVID capacity rating. However, event venue ticket sales and attendance is generally down more than 50% due to COVID. And live stream attendance is down another 50% due to a massive surge in webinars competing for attention that most often have very low production quality. Many nonprofits have attempted to live stream a gala auction event, but the high production cost and low quality stream resulted in disappointing ROI. Another COVID era example, think of the Arcade Rotunda as a space for live-streamed weddings, whether you're planning a small micro gathering for 50 or an elegant gala for up to 700 well spaced guests, with remote family members piped in through Zoom or Skype to toast the bride and groom on a 4K 84" video screen, 4 camera live streams mixed and posted to multiple family Facebook pages, a polished post-production documentary in brilliant cinematic 4K to host privately on your favorite photo and video sharing site (Flickr, Google Photo, YouTube, Vimeo, DailyMotion) and a 4K photo album or coffee table book of the very best shots, all for $500 - $2000. PERFORMING ARTS
How about a Dayton Ballet, Dayton Philharmonic or Puzzle of Light performance, with live feeds in a brilliant 4K 3-camera, audio-video NDI broadcast mix distributed through PBS Dayton.

How about a corporate event live-streamed through a closed virtual private network, MS Teams Global Conference, Workcast, Zoom Room, Cisco WebX, etc. Examples include: a 4K interactive corporate documentary video for product launch, virtual trade show, investor relations, on-demand webinars, virtual job fair, training and sales enablement.
CITVN FORUM
CITVN, in cooperation with 196 Catholic universities located in 76 countries, produces live stream academic lectures focused through the lens of Catholic Social Teaching. The monthly lecture series is distributed to 256,000 ethics professionals within 12 academic departments and to pastors and teachers in over 16,000 parishes. We hope to build at the HUB Shark Tank an online MS Teams Together Mode audience interacting with a live local audience. Tricaster 2 Elite with integrated Zoom, SkypeTX for Broadcasters and MS Teams will bring broadcast quality world class speakers to the Dayton Arcade.
BOOTSTRAP PRODUCTIONS
CITVN provides the training, equipment and facilities for an interdisciplinary teams of college students to create their very own non-commercial local streaming media program or documentary video. We are in the process of establishing a trust for the nonprofit assets, to provide CITVN COOP continuity in the years to come. Effective training, quality equipment, and the continuous promotion of Marianist values, to include Community, Service, Justice, Peace and the Integrity of Creation, keeps CITVN COOP members engaged with our community. We are proud to say that since 2005 we’ve shared this philosophy with CITVN COOP members, community partners, local non-profits, youth groups, schools, and businesses. Looking forward into 2021, we will continue to bring important community events, such as arts exhibitions, performing arts, community forums, candidate debates, keynote speakers, talk shows, documentaries and much more to the Dayton Arcade. The production facility is utilized as a entrepreneurial training program for mentally ill citizens and ex-felons in recovery from addictions who would be better off working for themselves.
VOLUNTEER SERVICES
We offer to dedicate each year 1,100 hours of volunteer service and all our technological resources to 6 highly choreographed 4K live stream and interactive documentary events for the benefit of Dayton Arcade seed-stage entrepreneurs, artists and restaurateurs. Our nonprofit breakeven on $60K Dayton Arcade production facility investment is accomplished with generation of $1000 dollars marginal revenue each month. Given the high quality and very low cost of CITVN COOP productions, I am reasonably confident we can attract event organizers, anchor business partners and underwriters to make 4K broadcast quality interactive media communications available to the Dayton Arcade startup business community.
